Couples Counseling
All cancellations (including rescheduling) must be made with greater than 24 hours notice.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a cancellation fee of $75.
No call/no shows will be charged full clinical rate.
Benefits to Private Pay
Psychotherapy requires deeply personal and sensitive information. When a provider submits claims on behalf of the patient, the insurance payer can choose to audit records, meaning the insurance payer will be looking through your private information. Additionally, if a provider fails an audit, the insurance company can do a "clawback" and withhold future payments from the provider. When a clawback occurs, the payment for services rendered then falls on either the provider, or the patient, resulting in an often astronomical lump-sum bill, as there is no limit for the duration of time or number of appointments an insurance company can deem worthy of a clawback.
Clawbacks, audits, and viewing your PHI (protected health information) are all things that insurance companies are intentionally not readily transparent about.
When a client opts to utilize private pay (with or without use of a superbill), the insurance payer no longer has access to your protected health information, and it eliminates risk of surprise billing. Self Pay
Individuals - $160 Per Clinical Hour
Couples - $200 Per Clinical Hour
Therapy is a valuable investment in yourself and your relationships. I offer competitive rates that are on par with industry standards and reflect the value of therapy. You have the right to a good faith estimate (GFE) to avoid surprise billing (GFE includes estimated total costs of therapy in order to achieve desired results, and not solely the session rate).

Out-of-Network Insurance
Following payment at clinical rate, clients who wish to use their out-of-network benefits may be provided a superbill to facilitate reimbursement for therapy costs.
If you do not see your insurance listed above, and would like to utilize insurance for billing, check to see if you have a PPO or POS insurance plan. PPO and POS insurance plans will often accept out-of-network coverage. (For more information, please visit my Billing FAQ page)
**Please note that not all insurers accept superbills for out-of-network coverage. It is the responsibility of the patient to ensure his/her insurance will accept a superbill for full or partial reimbursement.

All private forensic clinical services are billed at $300/hour, and may be subject to additional expenses.
